Primary Modalities

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

IFS is a way of understanding the mind that sees us as having different “parts” rather than being one single identity. For example, one part of you might feel anxious, another might be critical, and another may “people please” or try to distract from pain. These parts usually develop for a reason. Often to help you cope with stress, protect you from pain, or get your needs met in the best way they knew how at the time.

IFS helps you slow down and get to know these parts instead of fighting with them or feeling overwhelmed by them. Over time, this creates more space to understand what’s going on underneath reactions and to respond to yourself with more clarity, steadiness, and self-compassion.

You know those moments when you're grounded enough to notice what's happening inside without immediately reacting to it? That's what IFS calls Self energy. It’s already within you. Not something you have to create, or learn how to do, but something you can learn to access more often and lead from as you heal.

Somatic Therapy

Somatic therapy is an approach that brings attention to the connection between the mind and body. It recognizes that experiences (especially stress and trauma) are not only held in thoughts and emotions, but also in the nervous system and physical sensations.

In session, we gently explore these body-based cues to help increase awareness, support regulation, and release patterns of tension or survival responses that may feel stuck. Over time, this work can help create a greater sense of safety, presence, and connection within yourself.

While I primarily draw from IFS and somatic therapy, I take an integrative approach that is tailored to your unique needs and goals. Because every person and their experiences are unique, I tailor therapy to meet you where you are and support what feels most meaningful and helpful in your healing process.
